SEO & GEO Technical FAQ
Welcome to this technical resource hub. As an SEO & GEO consultant, I often see that user experience (UX) is the cornerstone of effective search engine optimization. If your website fails to display your latest updates, it doesn't just frustrate visitors—it harms your credibility with search engines. Below, I address common technical hurdles that can impact your site’s performance and visibility.
Why are my website updates not showing up immediately?
When you make changes in your Website Builder or CMS, they are not always visible to the public instantly. This is typically due to caching.
Browser Cache: Your browser stores a local version of your page to improve loading speed.
Quick Tip: Always check your page in an "Incognito" or "Private" window. Alternatively, you can add ?nocache=1 to the end of your URL; this query string forces the browser to bypass the cache and fetch the latest version of the page.
Server or CDN Cache: Sometimes, the server or a Content Delivery Network (CDN) holds a "frozen" version of your site.
Synchronization Issues: In platforms like Website Builders, the issue is often not the cache, but a failure to re-publish the specific page or blog post. Always ensure you have clicked "Publish" after saving your edits.
